29 Checklist Ads on Facebook & Instagram That Lasted

Checked 25 Oct 2026 · 29 ads from 25 brands, from Meta's Ad Library · How we pick ads

Checklist ads have to carry a spec sheet through a quick scroll, and they fail the moment the ticks are adjectives any rival could print. The ads that ran longest here tick off what a photo cannot show: how many cards a wallet holds, how underwear feels, what a cup of cold brew costs. None of the longest runs leads with a discount, and the first sale-led ad, LIV Fishing's "BUY 6 GET 2 FREE", appears at 178 days. Offers expire, so part of that gap is built in.

  • 632+days, the longest run
  • 132days, the median run on the page

Wallets, pans and laser engravers are bought on what they hold, how they are built and how they perform, most of which a photo cannot show, so Serman Brands Inc. and AtomStack set the facts in a column beside the product.

“Fits up to 11 cards”

Why it works

A black leather wallet stands on a white plinth beside a dark panel that holds the logo, the headline and a column of icon ticks. A wallet is judged on what it holds and what it blocks, and a photo shows neither, so the ticks carry them: "Fits up to 11 cards" and "RFID Blocking". Each line is a short phrase with its own icon, which keeps the panel readable at thumbnail size. It had run 632 days when we checked, the longest run in the set.

“no mess or machines, just add to water & brew”

Why it works

Four gold ticks sit under a serif headline on deep green, with boxes of single-serve cold brew stacked in the lower corner. Cold brew in sachets has to answer "how is this different from my usual coffee?", and the ticks answer in the shopper's terms: "cafe quality cold brew at home", no mess or machines, easy to carry. The last tick prices the habit at "less than $2 a cup". The boxes show the range without a caption.

“Five award-winning scents”

Why it works

A boxed discovery set stands on a reflective surface under a soft blue-grey gradient, a ribbon looping through the sticks. Under the headline "It's better than guessing", a rounded label names the set and four bullets follow. The headline names the real doubt with deodorant, which is picking a scent blind, and the bullets make the set a safe trial: aluminum-free, travel-sized, five scents. "Swipe it on and go get compliments" is the only bullet about the payoff, and it comes last.

“Purchase Directly On Website”

Why it works

Three product photos sit in a row on black, a red grip, a yellow machine with weight plates and blue handles, under a headline calling the gear commercial grade and a red "MADE IN THE USA" line. Big equipment raises a money question before a feature question, so half the bullets cover how to buy: "Payment Plans & Financing Available" and "Purchase Directly On Website". The other half name the machines. The web address closes the frame in large white type.

“1 Pass 30mm Plywood Cutting”

Why it works

A maker leans over a laser engraver on a workshop table, with a translucent spec column pinned to the right edge: "Real 90W/120W Laser Power", "Air Compressor Water Cooling System", "1 Minute Cooling Activation" and more. A machine like this is bought on specifications, so this is the longest list in the set and it reads like a datasheet laid over a lifestyle photo. The room around the maker shows what the machine is for. A buyer scanning the right edge gets the numbers without leaving the feed.

“ZERO TO SEAR IN 7 MINUTES”

Why it works

Two griddles sit side by side with their lids open, blue flames visible underneath, below the headline "All-New Griddles for Every Backyard Chef". Three plain lines in the lower right carry the benefits, "Zero to sear in 7 minutes" first, and the size labels sit directly under each machine, so the shopper picks a size and reads the case for it in one look. With the lids open, the burners behind the heat claim are on show.

“deep hydration without heaviness for all skin types”

Why it works

Three blue serum bottles lean against each other on a blush ground, with a bold headline and a short list of droplet bullets on the left and a white $18 circle floating above the tallest bottle. Skincare lists can stay vague, but each tick here meets a worry: heaviness, stressed skin and sensitivity, with "designed and clinically tested for sensitive skin" as the last. The price badge answers the next question before it is asked. Drop-shaped bullets tie the list to the hydration claim.

“Ceramic coated in USA”

Why it works

A pan photographed from above sits under an underlined headline, "Most-requested clean cookware", with four green-ticked claims in a grid below it. The grid is evenly spaced, so no claim looks like the lead, and each answers a different cookware worry: where it is made, what it is made without, what the body is and how well it is built. "Ceramic coated in USA" names the step it happened at, not just a country.

“Chafe-Free”

Why it works

Folded boxer briefs lie on a grey ground under the headline "Ultimate Comfort", with four tick pills along the bottom edge: Chafe-Free, Ultra-Soft, Eco-Friendly, Highly Breathable. Underwear is bought on feel, which a flat lay cannot show, so the pills put the feel into words and stay out of the product's way. The stack shows a white pair, an olive pair and a printed pair while the pills stay identical and quiet. Each pill is a single adjective with a check beside it.

This is the same pill idea on a tall frame: a close-up of blue fabric on a tan sofa, the headline "Ultimate Performance" above it, and pills scattered over the cloth itself. Anti-Odor, Engineered Breathability, Silky-Soft and Chafe-Free sit on the garment they describe. Swapping comfort for performance moves the list from how the garment feels to how it behaves, with Anti-Odor and Engineered Breathability doing the new work. “Friday night's jeans don't fit today?”

Why it works

A woman holds a bottle of gummies against her arm, and the question "Friday night's jeans don't fit today?" runs across the top, with a white bar of four pink-ticked claims along the bottom. The question names the problem before the product enters, so the ticks read as the answer. Each tick ends in an asterisk, the same mark the body copy carries.

Why it works

A man in a kitchen wears a green LED mask with red-lit openings for eyes and mouth, a mug in one hand, pointing at his face. Four dots hang along the left edge in blue, green, red and purple, each beside a verb phrase: Clear up breakouts, Calm down redness, Wake up dull skin, Smooth out early lines. Every line starts with a verb, so the list reads as a set of jobs for the mask. The mug and coffee machine put it in a morning routine.

Why it works

A woman sleeps on lavender sheets, a purple lotion bottle on the nightstand beside a lit lamp, and the list is not about features at all. It is scent notes: "Coastal Citrus", "Sandalwood" and "Water Lily". A scent cannot be smelled through a feed, so the bullets stand in for the smell and the sleeping face stands in for how it should feel. The headline over the body copy, "Smell good, relax better", links the two. The list translates a smell into words.

“Premium Shades without the markup”

Why it works

Three pairs of round-framed sunglasses lie on a stone ledge at a pool's edge, sunlit, with the brand's script logo at top right. At the bottom left, a serif line, "Premium Shades without the markup", sits over three small icon ticks: tangle-free nosepads, steel and resin construction, guaranteed for life. The headline raises the price objection and the ticks answer it with build and a lifetime guarantee. Text stays small, leaving the poolside photo to sell the mood.

Why it works

Two ticks, "Any oil, any size" and "600 sq ft", answer the two questions a diffuser raises: what it takes and how far it reaches. They sit above the price, so the shopper reads the product before the deal. A strip of official-license logos along the foot adds names the brand has partnered with.

Why it works

A kit's whole contents stand in a row coming out of a black pouch, each tube labeled by an arrow, under a headline that strikes the old price: "now $75 (was $100)". Three sparkle ticks say what the kit does for ink: brightens faded ink, protects from UVA and UVB rays, nourishes the skin. The labels answer "what do I get?" and the ticks answer "what is it for?", so a bundle buyer sees contents and purpose together. A red banner in the corner adds a deadline line.

A run of "Who's" lines qualifies the reader before a short list of trial-box terms arrives. No food is pictured. Why it works

A white square carries a house icon, the headline "Going Solar, but need help?" and a column of navy tick boxes: Proposal reviews, Contract insights, 15 minute consults, always free. No product is shown, because the product is a help desk, so the checklist is the whole offer, written as things a nervous buyer can ask for. Write ticks that settle a doubt

  1. Tick what the photo can't showA wallet's card capacity, underwear's chafe-free feel and cold brew's cost per cup are invisible, which is why Serman Brands Inc., BN3TH Apparel and Chamberlain Coffee tick them.
  2. Cut each tick to a phraseSalt & Stone and Birdfy by Netvue keep every line to a few words, so the list still reads when the ad shrinks to a thumbnail.

  4. Keep the long list in the bodyLIV Fishing and Birdfy by Netvue leave the full set to the ad text, so the picture carries only the ticks that fit at a glance.
  5. Print the proof beside the tickMedik8's study footnote and Open Farm's named rating site stay on the image, in the same block as the claims they back.
  6. Lead with the benefit, then the dealThe sale-led lists here, such as LIV Fishing's, reach 178 days, while the benefit-led ones reach 632.

Sizes and Safe Zones are on our Instagram Safe Zone checker page.

Claims on the list

A footnote travels with the tick. Medik8 prints "Pores visibly reduced*" and, at the foot of the frame, the study behind the asterisk. Lemme ends every tick in an asterisk and names its product a dietary supplement on the bottle. Meta's ad standards limit how health and appearance results can be worded, and a tick falls under the same rules as body copy.

Origin lines name a step or a country. Made In ticks "CERAMIC COATED IN USA", naming the step, and Raw Motive Works prints "MADE IN THE USA" under its headline. The FTC reads an unqualified Made in USA claim as all or virtually all made in the U.S., so the wording of an origin line matters.

A guarantee is a promise on the picture. Sunski ticks "GUARANTEED FOR LIFE" and The Pets Table ticks "100% money-back guarantee", so each is one more line the brand has to stand behind.

Sources: ecfr.gov, transparency.meta.com

Picture list, body list

The picture keeps the short version. LIV Fishing's picture carries three icon ticks, while its body adds "They Float", "Rubber Opening" and "Adjustable Reel Strap" in tick emoji.

The body can run the full spec. Birdfy by Netvue's picture reads Dual-Lens, AI Recognition, Real-Time Alerts and Recyclable, and its body spells out the camera, the bird recognition and "Instant alerts sent straight to your phone".

Or the body can carry the terms. The Pets Table's picture lists three trial-box terms, and its body adds "Plans starting at $1.59/meal" and "Picky-eater approved".

Checklist ad questions, from tick count to discounts

How many ticks should a checklist ad carry?

As few as the buyer can read at a glance, written as phrases and not sentences. AtomStack's spec column is the longest list on a picture here, and each line in it is still a short phrase such as "1 Pass 30mm Plywood Cutting". Most others stay well below it.

Should a checklist ad show a discount?

Only when the deal is the news. The longest-running lists here lead with benefits, and the first sale-led ad, LIV Fishing's "BUY 6 GET 2 FREE", appears at 178 days. Offers end, which explains part of the gap, so a sale line suits a window and the benefit list suits the version that keeps running.

Can a checklist ad sell a service instead of a product?

Yes, when the ticks name what the person gets. Solar United Neighbors makes "Proposal reviews" and "15 minute consults" the whole offer, and each of its two versions had run 149 days when we checked. Printful and Davie Fogarty use the same format for a job and a mentoring program.

Should the checklist go on the picture or in the ad text?

Both, with the picture carrying the short version. LIV Fishing's picture shows three icon ticks while its body adds "They Float" and "Adjustable Reel Strap", and Birdfy by Netvue repeats its features in emoji lines.

What goes wrong with a checklist ad?

The ticks turn into adjectives any rival could print, and the ad stops answering a doubt. The lists here that ran longest name something checkable: a card count in Serman Brands Inc.'s "Fits up to 11 cards", a price per cup in Chamberlain Coffee's "less than $2 a cup", a study footnote on Medik8.

Make checklist ads like these

Paste your client's website or your own and Gimme Gimme builds checklist ads whose ticks answer the doubts a photo cannot, the way the longest-running lists here do.

How we pick ads. We search Meta's public Ad Library for ads from DTC brands that sell to US and UK shoppers, keep ads running 14 days or more, skip catalogue ads, and show at most 3 per brand. Days running is a spend signal: brands rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't sell. Day counts are as of the check date above. Breakdowns are written by Gimme Gimme's ad analysis engine from each ad's image and copy, and edited by Josh Jackson, founder. Not affiliated with the brands shown; ads appear for commentary and analysis. To have an ad removed, email hello@getgimmegimme.com and we'll take it down within 7 days.
