Collage Ad Examples: 30 Meta Ads Brands Kept Running
Checked 25 Oct 2026 · 30 ads from 25 brands, from Meta's Ad Library · How we pick ads
Several tiles split one glance, so a collage works only when each tile answers a different buyer question and one of them leads. The three longest runs in this set, all Knit & Carry backpacks at 732, 392 and 392 days, are the plainest grids: a large lead tile, one tile per color and the offer left to the caption. Most of the 30 ads had run past 90 days when we checked.
- 732+days, the longest run (Knit & Carry)
- 107days, the median run
- 12fashion ads, the biggest group

What fills the tiles
Grouped by the job each ad does. Swipe a row, and tap “Why it works” for our breakdown.
Lead tile, then the full range · 8
Knit & Carry spends its large tile on the whole set and every small tile on one color or name, and COSABELLA sets a hero model over a strip of colorways. The buyer sees the range before reading a word, which is why this shelf holds the longest runs.
Mood board around the product · 6
Velvet Caviar lays one phone case over sky, water and a glitter-lidded face, and Triangl floats a bikini across four holiday scenes. The tiles sell the feeling, so the product needs only its color to belong.
Worn on one side, detail on the other · 3
Cupshe pairs a flat lay of the outfit with a model wearing it, and ALOHAS puts the sneakers on a woman above a top-down shot of the shoes. Fit and make get their own tile each, which one photo cannot manage.
Printed words carry the claim · 4
Nevera Auto fills its grid with customer dashboards and named reviews, and Hungryroot prints one feeling on each food bowl. The picture shows something ordinary, and the words on top say what it is for.
Panels that explain the product · 6
AtomStack gives each machine spec a panel, and Oru Kayak tags three photos CARRY, UNFOLD and PADDLE. A product that has to be understood, not admired, needs one tile per thing it does.
Close-ups of skin and texture · 3
Huda Beauty shows its lip mousse on a lighter and a deeper skin tone around the product, and rhode repeats one face and one gesture four times. Beauty grids sell texture and result, not scenery.

Giving every tile a different job
- Give every tile one jobKnit & Carry assigns its large tile to the group and each small tile to one color, and Oru Kayak assigns carry, unfold and paddle to three photos.
- Let one tile leadCOSABELLA sets a hero model above a thumbnail strip and Nomad sets one portrait above three details, so the eye starts in a known place.
- Print only what tiles cannot sayGymshark and Triangl print a brand name and nothing else, while AtomStack prints a spec on every panel because a spec buyer expects it.
- Pair a worn tile with a detailALOHAS, Cupshe and SexyModest Boutique each set a body shot beside a close-up or flat lay, so fit and make are both visible.
- Keep the offer in the captionKnit & Carry leaves its percent-off and free-shipping offer to the caption and lets the grid show the range, while Halara and Googan Squad print theirs on the picture.

Letting one tile lead
Make one tile bigger. Knit & Carry opens with a large group shot over smaller single-color tiles, and COSABELLA stacks a hero model above a row of thumbnails.
Lay the product across the seam. Velvet Caviar centers one phone case over four mood tiles, and the case sits at the crossing of all four.
Label the tiles when order matters. Oru Kayak tags its photos CARRY, UNFOLD and PADDLE, and Sunbasket puts a white label on each meal, so the reading order never has to be guessed.
Customer photos as tiles
Say who is speaking. Nevera Auto puts a name and a car under each quote, such as Roula Z. and an Audi S5, and Grey Horse prints Kristie, Verified Buyer on its review card.
Keep every tile real. Nevera Auto's grid is built from customer dashboards, so the proof is the photo as much as the quote.
A tile is still a claim. The FTC's Endorsement Guides hold a brand answerable for what an endorsement it runs shows or says, and a review card or customer photo in a tile counts.

Collage ad questions, from tile count to caption
Is a collage ad the same as a carousel ad?
No: a collage puts every tile in one picture, while a carousel spreads its cards across swipes. A collage has to work in the first look, which is why Knit & Carry and Triangl give each grid one message and let the caption carry the rest.
How many tiles should a collage ad have?
As few as the message needs. ALOHAS and Cupshe tell a worn-versus-detail story in a split, while Knit & Carry's catalog grid needs a tile per color and name.
Should a collage ad have text on the image?
Sparingly, and only for what the tiles cannot show. Gymshark and Triangl print a brand name and nothing else, while AtomStack and Nevera Auto print specs and reviews because those are the claim.
Which products suit collage ads?
Products with variants, a look or several features. Fashion is the biggest group here at 12 of the 30 ads, and the rest range from backpacks and candles to a router and a folding kayak.
Can a collage ad use customer photos?
Yes, and it is one of the clearest uses of the format. Nevera Auto builds its grid from customer installs with names and cars, and the FTC's Endorsement Guides still treat what a shown customer says as a claim the brand has to back.
Make collage ads like these
Give Gimme Gimme your client's website or your own, and it designs static ads on that brand so you can test a multi-tile layout against a single product shot.
How we pick ads. We search Meta's public Ad Library for ads from DTC brands that sell to US and UK shoppers, keep ads running 14 days or more, skip catalogue ads, and show at most 3 per brand. Days running is a spend signal: brands rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't sell. Day counts are as of the check date above. Breakdowns are written by Gimme Gimme's ad analysis engine from each ad's image and copy, and edited by Josh Jackson, founder. Not affiliated with the brands shown; ads appear for commentary and analysis. To have an ad removed, email hello@getgimmegimme.com and we'll take it down within 7 days.
