30 Instagram Ad Examples Brands Kept Running on Meta
Checked 25 Oct 2026 · 30 ads from 29 brands, from Meta's Ad Library · How we pick ads
Between a friend's photo and a stranger's lunch, an Instagram ad that looks like an ad gets thumbed past in a second. The 30 ads here answer by making the picture the whole pitch: one subject fills the frame, the words on the image are few, and the caption carries the specifics. Most lead with the product alone, and where proof appears, it sits on the picture.

Product set in a real place · 8
A setting gives the product scale and a story without a model, which is how Songmont's bag on a window sill and Sabai Design's sectional in a lived-in room read like posts from the brands' own grids. PRx Performance uses empty floor to show how big a rack is.
Designed cards that carry a message · 6
When the news is a price, a bundle or a belief, a designed frame can print it large and still leave the goods in view: ALOHA prints its price above the box and Field Company pins a badge to its skillets, and both keep the goods in view.
Studio frame, one clear subject · 5
With nothing around the product, its shape, color and label do the recognizing at thumb size: The Ordinary's amber bottle against blue droppers, JW PEI's dress cut out on off-white.
A person wearing or holding it · 6
A body in the frame answers what a flat product shot cannot: Linjer's necklace on fingers shows how small, and Chirp's discs on a shoulder show where they go.
Badge or proof on the picture · 5
Proof printed on the picture is read with the product, before anyone opens the caption: Urban Armor Gear's star line under the case, Lovesac's review over the sofa.

Setting up a photo-first feed ad
- Fill the frame with one subjectLinjer's necklace across fingers and DeMellier's bag held across the body each leave the eye nothing else to find.
- Keep the picture's words to one linePRx Performance asks one question and Megababe gives one headline, while Cult Gaia and Songmont print nothing on the image at all.
- Move specs into the captionField Company's skillet details and Knockaround Sunglasses' lens bullets sit in the body text, where there is room for them.
- Put the product in its real settingSabai Design's lived-in living room and Songmont's window sill show the product in the place it will live.
- Skip the long introductionThe feed already shows who is advertising, so a small mark like Linjer's or DeMellier's is enough.
- Test captions under one pictureSeven in ten of these ads use Meta's dynamic creative image format, which lets one picture meet several headlines.

What the caption carries
Specs the picture cannot hold. Field Company's caption lists "Made in USA", induction compatibility and a lifetime guarantee, and Chirp's adds "FSA/HSA eligible".
Terms that remove risk. Ekster's caption closes with "Lifetime warranty | 100-day risk-free trial | Free shipping", the questions a buyer asks about a new kind of wallet.
The offer, when the picture stays clean. JW PEI's image holds only the dress, the brand name and a shop label, and the caption adds "Sign up today and get 10% off!"
The story behind the image. Songmont's caption turns a photograph of a bag on a window sill into a story about "the moon's quiet strength", and Buck Mason's invites readers into its Chicago shop.
Borrowed marks in the frame
A broadcaster's brand. Knockaround Sunglasses puts the Discovery Shark Week logo at the top of its frame, and the shark scene around the glasses carries the theme.
A retailer's bag. PHLUR builds both of its pictures around a SEPHORA shopping bag, so the bag tells viewers where the scents are sold.
A platform's badge. Mous prints "made for Google Pixel" and Ekster names the iPhone and MagSafe in its on-image lines, so a buyer knows which phone the product fits.
Get agreement first. Meta's Advertising Standards cover intellectual property, so another company's logo belongs in your ad only when that company has agreed to it, and agencies should have that agreement before the ad runs.

Feed ad questions to settle before you post
What does it cost to put an ad on Instagram?
It depends on your audience, your bid and your competition, because Meta sells Instagram placements in an auction with no fixed price per ad. Nothing in these examples shows what any brand paid, only that each kept an ad running. Set a target cost per sale first, then let the auction tell you whether a picture like these can meet it.
Do Instagram feed ads need text on the picture?
No. Cult Gaia, Songmont and Marshall Headphones print nothing on the image beyond the product's own marks, and each leaves the message to the headline and caption. Ads with a price or an offer, such as ALOHA and Field Company, do print it, because there it is the news.
Is a product-only photo enough for a feed ad?
It can be: most of these ads lead with the product alone, from a studio cut-out like JW PEI's to a styled scene like Sweet Water Decor's. People appear mainly where scale or placement is the doubt, as in Linjer's fingers and Chirp's shoulder. Each kept running, which is a spend signal, not proof of sales.
Which products suit Instagram feed ads?
Anything that photographs distinctly, and the list is wider than fashion and beauty. Beauty and accessories supply the most ads here, but a fishing reel from Piscifun, a gym rack from PRx Performance and a cast-iron skillet from Field Company also appear.
How long should a feed caption be?
As long as it needs to be to carry what the picture cannot, and no longer. Cult Gaia's runs one sentence, Field Company's adds a ticked list of specs and Knockaround Sunglasses' lists lens features.
Make Instagram ads like these
Paste your client's website or your own, and Gimme Gimme designs photo-first feed ads for that brand, with a picture that carries the pitch and the caption left free for specifics.
How we pick ads. We search Meta's public Ad Library for ads from DTC brands that sell to US and UK shoppers, keep ads running 14 days or more, skip catalogue ads, and show at most 3 per brand. Days running is a spend signal: brands rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't sell. Day counts are as of the check date above. Breakdowns are written by Gimme Gimme's ad analysis engine from each ad's image and copy, and edited by Josh Jackson, founder. Not affiliated with the brands shown; ads appear for commentary and analysis. To have an ad removed, email hello@getgimmegimme.com and we'll take it down within 7 days.
