Phone Case Ads: 28 Facebook & Instagram Examples That Ran
Checked 25 Oct 2026 · 28 ads from 14 brands, from Meta's Ad Library · How we pick ads
Cases are bought for one phone, and a photo can show the look but never the drop test, so these ads settle fit before anything else. Every ad that ran between 290 and 411 days carries an iPhone in its headline, while the longest, from Loopy Cases at 562 days, sells a colorway with no model named. About 46% announce something new.
- 562+days, the longest run: a colorway shot on a tennis court
- 46%of ads announce something new: a phone, a color or a drop
- 128days, the median run
- 15ads ran past 90 days
Naming the phone, showing the look, proving the toughness
Grouped by the job each ad does. Swipe a row, and tap “Why it works” for our breakdown.
The phone's name comes first · 9
Casely asks "New iPhone 17? Covered." and Mous writes "Protect Galaxy S26 now", so a buyer sees their own handset before any design. PITAKA's "Best Cases For..." headlines ran 375, 370 and 359 days.
Toughness or thinness, shown as proof · 6
OtterBox stages a waterproof claim with a case in running water, and UAG sets a customer review and a discount over scuffed metal. totallee stands its cases edge-on to prove thinness, then adds a Wirecutter quote. Each one moves a claim the photo cannot make onto the picture.
A named drop sets the mood · 10
Loopy Cases names its colorway, "Blush Checkered & Blue Stripes", and Velvet Caviar hangs a whole collection on a mood board. A name gives a buyer who already owns a case something new to ask for. In Loopy Cases' second picture the case is not in the frame at all.
Handmade, one of one · 3
Carved makes the case itself the subject, with real wood and resin and the mark 1 OF ONE. A handmade claim answers the plastic-case doubt that a studio photo cannot.

Case ad steps for a phone your buyer already owns
- Name the phone firstCasely asks "New iPhone 17? Covered." and PITAKA writes "Best Cases For iPhone Air", so a buyer finds their own handset before a single design.
- Show the camera cutoutCasely, totallee and Mous all show the back of the case, where the camera opening tells a shopper at a glance whether it is cut for their model.
- Print one tested claimCasetify prints "8.2 ft drop-tested" and OtterBox writes "Waterproof up to 2 meters for one full hour", a number a shopper can hold the brand to.
- Give every colorway a nameLoopy Cases, Casely and Velvet Caviar call theirs Blush Checkered & Blue Stripes, Sage Tapestry and Widow's Web Crystal, which gives a returning buyer something to ask for.
- Match the setting to the caseTORRAS_eu sets an orange-and-teal case among lemons and sunglasses in the same colors, and Carved's gloved hand makes a handmade claim look like a workbench.
- Put the extras in frameVelvet Caviar lays a wrist strap, ring grip and card wallet around its case, so one case is shown as the start of a set.

Naming the phone
As a question. Casely headlines "New iPhone 17? Covered." and asks in the body "New iPhone 17 on the way?", which speaks to someone whose phone has not arrived.
As the headline. PITAKA's headlines read "Best Cases For iPhone Air" and "Best Cases For iPhone 17 Air", and the body is a first-person owner review.
As a badge. Mous prints made for Google Pixel and Pixelsnap compatible in a corner badge on its Pixel ad, and writes "Protect Galaxy S26 now" as the headline on its Galaxy ad.
In another language. Casetify's Korean-language version of its ad keeps the English on-image lines "NEW FOR iPhone" and "8.2 ft drop-tested", so the model name and the number travel across without a translation.
Left open. zagg's "Protect Your New Phone" names no model, and puts the offer on the image instead: "Buy 2 items, save 20% + free shipping".
Claims on a case
Drop and water tests. Casetify prints "8.2 ft drop-tested" and OtterBox says "Waterproof up to 2 meters for one full hour". A test number is a claim the brand has to be able to back up.
Reviews and press quotes. UAG sets a five-star review from JENNA M., WEEKEND EXPLORER over its case, totallee quotes Wirecutter, and PITAKA's body copy is owner reviews. The FTC's Endorsement Guides expect an endorsement to reflect the endorser's honest opinion.
Where it was made. Carved's body says "Handcrafted, Artist Made in the USA". The FTC's Made in USA Labeling Rule allows an unqualified Made in USA claim only when a product is all or virtually all made in the United States.
Compostable wording. Pela Case's Pet Club ad calls its cases "tough, compostable". The FTC's Green Guides expect a compostable claim to be backed up, and to be qualified where the case breaks down only in some settings.

Phone case ad questions, from fit to drop tests
How should a phone case ad name the phone?
Put the model in the headline or on the image, because a case is bought for one handset. Casely asks "New iPhone 17? Covered." and Mous writes "Protect Galaxy S26 now", and the ads that ran from 290 to 411 days all carry an iPhone in the headline. PITAKA keeps one headline pattern and swaps the model name.
Does a phone case ad need to show protection?
Not always, but the rugged brands print it where a photo cannot. OtterBox labels each feature, Casetify states "8.2 ft drop-tested", and Mous floats a case above rock, while Loopy Cases and Velvet Caviar sell color with no protection claim at all.
Should case ads use a person or a studio shot?
Use a person when the colorway needs a mood and a studio set when the case itself is the sale. Loopy Cases held a case in each hand on a tennis court and ran 562+ days, while Bandolier's studio set ran 220+ days.
Do collection drops make good case ads?
Brands keep running them for months. Pela Case's artist and pet collections ran 248+ days, and Velvet Caviar's Lucky Girl drop ran 262+ days, which says only that the spend continued.
How can I sell phone cases?
Pick the one thing a buyer cannot judge from a photo, fit, toughness or originality, and print the answer on the image. These ads do it with a model name, a test number or a handmade claim, and the answer sits on the picture, not behind a click.

How we pick ads. We search Meta's public Ad Library for ads from DTC brands that sell to US and UK shoppers, keep ads running 14 days or more, skip catalogue ads, and show at most 3 per brand. Days running is a spend signal: brands rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't sell. Day counts are as of the check date above. Breakdowns are written by Gimme Gimme's ad analysis engine from each ad's image and copy, and edited by Josh Jackson, founder. Not affiliated with the brands shown; ads appear for commentary and analysis. To have an ad removed, email hello@getgimmegimme.com and we'll take it down within 7 days.
