Ad hook generator
Describe what you sell and get ten ad hooks, each from a different angle. Free, no sign-up.
How to use the ad hook generator
- 1Say what you sell in a sentence, such as: reusable water bottle that keeps drinks cold for 24 hours.
- 2Optionally add who it is for, such as: hikers and gym-goers.
- 3Press generate and read the ten hooks. Each is labeled with its angle.
- 4Copy the ones you like. Use them as the first line or headline of an ad.
What a hook is
The hook is the first thing someone sees or reads in your ad: the opening line, the headline or the first few seconds. In a feed full of content, it decides whether a person stops scrolling.
A hook does not need to explain your product. It needs to make the right person think: that is for me.
The angles behind these hooks
Strong ad accounts test different angles, not different wordings of the same idea. This tool produces hooks across pain (a problem you solve), desire (the outcome people want), proof (a result or number), curiosity (an open question), offer (a deal), objection (a doubt answered) and comparison.
Finding which angle your audience responds to is worth more than polishing any single line.
Writing hooks that fit your audience
The more specific the input, the sharper the output. Saying who the product is for, and what they are trying to fix, gives the generator something concrete to work with. Compare a vague line like skincare with a line like a gentle retinol serum for people who tried retinol and quit because it irritated their skin.
Always read the results with your own knowledge of the customer. Cut anything that overclaims, keep what sounds like a real person talking, and rewrite lines so they use the words your customers use.
From hook to ad
A hook is a start. The ad still needs an image, a clear promise, a call to action and the right size for each placement. Pick your three strongest hooks and test them as separate ads, so you learn which angle earns clicks.
Gimme Gimme turns your website into finished Meta ads, using the longest-running ads in your category as research, if you want the whole job done.
Frequently asked questions
- What makes a good ad hook?
- A good hook is specific, speaks to one clear person and promises something they care about. Concrete numbers, a named problem or a surprising claim usually beat a vague slogan.
- Is this ad hook generator free?
- Yes. It is free and needs no account. To keep it available for everyone there is a small daily limit per visitor.
- Can I use the hooks in my ads?
- Yes. Edit them so they are accurate for your product and follow Meta's advertising policies, especially on claims about results.
- How many hooks should I test?
- Test at least three that use different angles. Testing different angles teaches you more than testing small rewordings.
- Does the tool store what I type?
- Your text is sent to generate the hooks. Avoid entering private or confidential information.
