17 Christmas Ads on Facebook & Instagram That Lasted

Checked 25 Oct 2026 · 17 ads from 15 brands, from Meta's Ad Library · How we pick ads

Christmas is a deadline every shop shares, so an ad has to make an ordinary product read as a gift and as the season in one frame. The longest run here, Callie Gifts at 1,265 days, has no Christmas on its picture, and BAMBOO COOL, Cosy Island and Runnr Active put "Christmas Sale" on everyday products and had run 239 to 300 days when we checked.

  • 1,265+days, the longest run, on a picture with no Christmas
  • 41days, the median run when we checked
  • 8of the 17 ads had run past 90 days when we checked
  • 7ads from gift sellers, as many as from fashion

Christmas Sale on the picture · 3

Underwear, heels and running shorts are not Christmas products, so the words "Christmas Sale" and a few holiday colors do the seasoning for BAMBOO COOL, Cosy Island and Runnr Active, each of which had run 239 days or more when we checked.

BAMBOO COOLRan 300+ days

“20% OFF Code: XMAS”

Why it works

A tight crop of a torso in rust-red boxer-style underwear fills the frame, with "CHRISTMAS Sale 20% OFF" in big white type across the stomach and a green wavy line under it. Underwear has no Christmas shape, so the words carry the whole season, and the crop leaves fit and fabric as the only product proof. Offer and code repeat in the headline, so nothing needs a click to be understood.

“Fashion and comfort combined”

Why it works

Pointed shoes in beige, burgundy and black are laid at angles across diagonal bands of red, pink, cream and green, under a red script "Christmas Sale" and a percent-off line. The shoes carry no ornament and are not seasonal, so bands in the colors of a Christmas wrapper do the festive work. Placed on the diagonals, each colorway gets its own space for a shopper to compare.

“Christmas Deals for Runners”

Why it works

A tall frame shows black running shorts with a lime liner under string lights, with arrows to back zip storage, an anti-chafe liner and a secure phone pocket. The headline says everything that stopped you from running is solved. Christmas arrives as a red gift tag reading "70% OFF CHRISTMAS BUNDLE" and a red and green banner at the foot. Runner problems lead, and the season comes as a tag and a banner.

Ornaments, candles and wrapping paper sit naturally under a tree or on a stack of gifts, so Wander Prints Unique Gift and Goose Creek let the set dress the product, while Aspen & Arlo uses its paper to sell timing.

Silverybrand Outfit Meta ad: a die-cut Grinch ornament in Santa hats with names on the hats and a "names can be changed" badge, ran 765+ days

“names can be changed”

Why it works

A die-cut ornament of two cartoon figures in Santa hats hangs from a pine branch against a soft glow, with a different first name printed on each hat. A bright badge in the corner says the names can be changed, which tells a gift buyer the object is theirs to personalize. Seeing it hung on a branch also settles what it is: a tree decoration, not a flat print.

Christian Art Workshop Meta ad: a long strand of beads with rose-colored flowers laid on tan fabric, no text, ran 316+ days
Christian Art WorkshopRan 316+ days
Flat lay ads

“Christmas sale: 25% OFF faith essentials”

Why it works

A long strand of pale lilac beads with rose-colored flowers lies in loose loops on tan fabric, with a gold hand mirror and a picture frame at the edges and no text anywhere on the picture. Christmas appears only in the caption, which pairs "prayer gifts" with "Christmas sale: 25% OFF faith essentials" and a code. A jewelry still life with no holiday prop in it carries the whole sale in the caption.

“BUYING CHRISTMAS PAPER IN SEPTEMBER BECAUSE DECEMBER ME CANNOT BE TRUSTED”

Why it works

Two unrolled sheets of gift wrap fill the frame, one pale with dachshunds in snow globes and pink bows, one navy with mice, trees and parcels, and four lines of text sit across the middle. The line is a confession about buying early, so the ad sells timing before it sells the print, and the caption adds "Future You Will Thank You". Wrapping paper has no gift reason of its own, and the joke supplies one.

Wander Prints Unique Gift Meta ad: four letter-shaped Santa hat ornaments with different first names on pine branches, ran 18+ days
Wander Prints Unique GiftRan 18+ days
Lifestyle ads

“Build this year's family Christmas collection”

Why it works

Four letter-shaped ornaments, A, R, M and E, hang from pine branches in warm light, each topped with a Santa hat and carrying a different first name and a year. Each letter has its own theme: plaid, snowflakes, a tree and poinsettias. The caption asks for an ornament for everyone at home, so the grid shows how a family of different names becomes four different pieces. Each name is a reason to order one more.

“Bring Home a Little Holiday Magic”

Why it works

Four three-wick candles in red and green tins sit among wrapped gifts, pinecones and a patterned rug, under a "Disney Mickey and Friends by Goose Creek" lockup. A scent cannot be shown, so the tin labels do the describing: "Home for the Holidays", "Season's Greetings", "Merry Christmas" and "Warm Holiday Wishes". Stacking the tins on presents tells a gift buyer where they belong. Names carry the scent, and the gift boxes carry the occasion.

For clothing and small keepsakes, a person or a hand shows what the item is for: In My Jammers puts matching pajamas on a mother and son, and Insgifts carries name stickers on a stack of wrapped boxes.

“Personalized Name Christmas Theme Cartoon Stickers”

Why it works

A hand carries three wrapped boxes, red, green and tan, against a dark brown backdrop, and each box has a sticker lettered with a different name in a festive cartoon font. The ad shows the stickers in use, on gifts someone is about to hand over, instead of as a loose sheet. Nothing else on the frame competes with the names.

“Personalize your holiday gifts”

Why it works

The same stack of three gifts now sits under a lit tree, with gold baubles and a white rug in the corner and a hand entering from the right. The stickers and names match the dark-backdrop version, so only the room has changed: this one reads as a home at Christmas, where the other has a plain dark ground. Where the stickers will be used is part of the pitch.

“Home for the Holidays”

Why it works

A mother holds her small son on a plain white set, both in red and green plaid pajamas, with "Home for the Holidays" in script across the upper third and nothing else on the frame. Matching sets are the product, so the picture shows the match at full length instead of as a flat lay. On a blank white set, the plaid does all the Christmas work.

Altar'd State Meta ad: two women laughing across a table in a vintage train dining car, headline "The Christmas Collection", ran 14+ days

Lifestyle ads

“Meet us at Christmas”

Why it works

Two women face each other across a table in what looks like a vintage train dining car, one laughing in a knit sweater and cream fleece, the other raising a small cup, with a camera and a wrapped gift on the table. It is a scene, not a product shot, and the caption invites shoppers to meet the brand at Christmas. No price, discount or logo appears anywhere on the frame.

“The Christmas Collection”

Why it works

A woman in a blue patterned knit sweater and dark shorts stands in front of a blue train carriage, a fuzzy black bag on her shoulder and a burgundy train case in her hand, in a tall frame with no text. It continues the dining-car scene as a portrait, so the clothes are worn as part of a trip. Between them, the two frames follow one journey from the table to the train.

Hero item on a studio set · 4

A studio frame leaves only the item, which suits pieces where the design is the draw, such as Callie Gifts' engraved birthstone rings or Posh Peanut's Grinch prints.

Callie GiftsRan 1265+ days
Minimalist ads

“Christmas gift for a mother, wife, or female friend”

Why it works

Two silver rings sit on a warm peach ground, each with a family tree cut into the band and colored birthstones set among the branches. A card across the top shows the two tree styles, and the engraving inside one band reads "We love you A&F". Nothing on the picture says Christmas. That job goes to the caption, which calls the ring a gift for a mother, wife or friend.

“buttery-soft styles for every Who”

Why it works

A bold red set holds a stack of folded garments in Grinch prints, a green furry Grinch hand and cushion, tinsel and a wrapped gift, with "The GRINCH" and "POSH PEANUT" joined by an x across the middle. The red set and tinsel make the stack read as a holiday display, and the caption supplies the feel with "buttery-soft styles for every Who". Fans see both the character and the cut in one look.

“Faith for Christmas”

Why it works

A red washed sweatshirt with a smiling Santa in a sparkly red hat hangs on a wooden hanger above ripped denim shorts, against a gray ground with no text. The shirt is the whole message, so the picture works like a listing. The reasons to buy are all in the long caption: a family-run shop in Garland, Texas, handcrafted pieces and a promise that purchases help families in need.

“THE BEST PART OF CHRISTMAS IS EVERYTHING LEADING UP TO IT”

Why it works

A pink and cream hoodie with a winking Santa in a patchwork plaid hat hangs on a wooden hanger above ripped denim shorts on a gray ground, with no text on the picture. Holyfaithwear's sweatshirt uses almost the same hanger-and-shorts frame, which makes it look like the default way to show a Christmas top in this set. Starting early is the whole argument, and it lives in the caption.

Putting the season into your own ad

  1. Decide where Christmas showsPick whether the holiday lives in the picture, as in Cosy Island's red and green bands, or only in the caption, as in Callie Gifts.
  2. Print the name on the productShow the personalization on the object itself, as Wander Prints Unique Gift does with a different name on every letter ornament.
  3. State the sale in plain wordsPut the percentage and the code where they are read first, the way BAMBOO COOL leads with 20% off and XMAS.
  4. Name the licensor on the frameIf a character is licensed, show the partner lockup on the picture, as Posh Peanut and Goose Creek both do.
  5. Say you are earlyAspen & Arlo and All Things American both wrote about shopping ahead instead of hiding that the season had not started.

Sizes and Safe Zones are on our Instagram Safe Zone checker page.

Names on the product

The name is the picture. Silverybrand Outfit's ornament carries a first name on each Santa hat, and Wander Prints Unique Gift hangs four letter ornaments that each hold a different name.

Names on a set. Insgifts prints three names on three wrapped boxes, so a buyer sees stickers used on a stack of gifts, not a sheet of stickers.

Stones in place of letters. Callie Gifts does the same with birthstones: the callout reads "1-20 Birthstones" and the engraving inside the band is readable.

The longest runs share it. From Callie Gifts at 1,265 days down to the second Insgifts ad at 371, each run sells something with a name or birthstones on it, and Silverybrand Outfit and the first Insgifts ad sit between them.

Characters and the rights line

Partner name on the picture. Posh Peanut's frame reads "The GRINCH" and "POSH PEANUT" joined by an x, with a copyright line along the bottom, and Goose Creek opens on "Disney MICKEY AND FRIENDS by Goose Creek".

A collection that returns. Goose Creek's caption says "Shop the limited-edition collection" and Posh Peanut's says the Grinch collection "is back", so both frame the range as a seasonal drop.

The rule. Meta's advertising standards do not allow ads that infringe someone else's intellectual property, so a character in the picture needs the owner's license.

Timing, characters and sale claims

When should Christmas ads start running?

Earlier than the shopper expects, because several ads here went up weeks before November. In My Jammers, Aspen & Arlo and Posh Peanut had run 41, 37 and 29 days when we checked, and Aspen & Arlo's picture reads "BUYING CHRISTMAS PAPER IN SEPTEMBER BECAUSE DECEMBER ME CANNOT BE TRUSTED".

Does a Christmas ad need Christmas on the picture?

No. The longest run here, Callie Gifts at 1,265 days, has no Christmas on its picture, and Christian Art Workshop, at 316 days, carries its Christmas sale only in the caption. Both pictures show the product and let the words add the occasion.

How do you show a personalized gift in an ad?

Print real names on the product itself. Silverybrand Outfit adds a badge reading "names can be changed", Insgifts letters three names on three boxes, and Wander Prints Unique Gift puts a different name on each letter ornament.

Can a Christmas ad use a famous character?

Only with the owner's permission, and the character ads here put the partner's name on the picture. Posh Peanut pairs "The GRINCH" with its own name, and Goose Creek leads with "Disney MICKEY AND FRIENDS by Goose Creek".

Do Christmas sale percentages need to be real discounts?

Yes, because the FTC's pricing guides say a percent-off claim should be measured from a genuine regular price. BAMBOO COOL prints 20% off in the biggest type on its picture and Runnr Active hangs a 70% off tag on its shorts, so each figure is the first thing a shopper reads.

Make Christmas ads like these

Christmas ads here decide whether the season shows in the picture or only in the caption, so paste your client's website or your own and design ads around that choice.

How we pick ads. We search Meta's public Ad Library for ads from DTC brands that sell to US and UK shoppers, keep ads from the season however long they ran, skip catalogue ads, and show at most 3 per brand. Days running is a spend signal: brands rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't sell. Day counts are as of the check date above. Breakdowns are written by Gimme Gimme's ad analysis engine from each ad's image and copy, and edited by Josh Jackson, founder. Not affiliated with the brands shown; ads appear for commentary and analysis. To have an ad removed, email hello@getgimmegimme.com and we'll take it down within 7 days.
