Wallet Ads: 18 Facebook & Instagram Examples That Ran
Checked 25 Oct 2026 · 18 ads from 11 brands, from Meta's Ad Library · How we pick ads
Every wallet is a flat rectangle that disappears into a pocket, so a photo cannot show the two things buyers care about, how it wears and how little room it takes. The ads here answer with wear on purpose, a new wallet beside a worn one, in a handful of the 18 ads. The longest run, 1,048 days, is Craft and Lore's plain wooden-table photo, so a quiet craft shot can outlast a clever comparison.
- 1,048+days, the longest run, a plain wooden-table photo
- 224days, the median run when we checked
- 14of the 18 ads had run past 90 days when we checked

Settling "will it last?" and "will it fit?" in one frame

Day 1 beside day 1000 · 4
Leather cannot prove itself on day one, so Bellroy, Lost Dutchman and Distil Union show a new wallet beside a worn one under a time label. Bellroy ran the idea twice, at 776 and 366 days.
Workbench leather, hands in frame · 4
Grain and scale are what a thumbnail loses, so Craft and Lore leads with a table-top photo and a four-frame grid of hands and leather, and Lost Dutchman lays out a row of strap swatches.
Stars and a stranger's quote · 3
A review answers the doubt a maker cannot answer for itself: Trayvax's is about years of carrying it, SlimFold's about engineering, and Serman puts five stars in the headline.
Gadget-style hero, specs attached · 4
A clear case from Aviator Wallet, a MagSafe back from Ekster and a row of feature pills from SlimFold sell the wallet as kit, which makes the difference visible when leather cannot.
Golf course, trip or gift · 3
BigSkinny sets its wallets on a golf course and beside a traveling couple, and Vulkit ties a stack under a Christmas ribbon, so the reason to carry a slim wallet comes before the wallet.

One pocket promise, one wallet ad
- Pick one pocket promiseChoose slim, tough or well made and let the frame carry only that: SlimFold says slimmest and strongest, Bellroy says it lasts.
- Photograph a new and a worn walletPut the two side by side with plain time labels, as Bellroy ("DAY 1" and "DAY 1000"), Lost Dutchman ("365 Days") and Distil Union ("Year 2") do.
- Pair the wear shot with a warrantyBellroy's body line promises a three-year warranty and Lost Dutchman's says "Guaranteed to last a lifetime", so the picture and the promise sit together.
- Name the annoyance you replaceSlim claims work against a known irritation: "Tired of bulky wallets?" from SlimFold and Vulkit, "reduce pocket bulk" from Craft and Lore.
- Print the capacity as a numberSerman writes "Fits up to 11 cards" on the picture and Aviator Wallet writes "Holds up to 20 cards" in the body, so the buyer can check it against their own pocket.
- Say where the leather came fromLost Dutchman Leather Goods lists "Sourced & tanned in the USA" beside its made-in-the-USA line, so the origin claim comes with its reasoning.

Showing wear on purpose
Pick a time label. Bellroy labels its pair "DAY 1" and "DAY 1000", Lost Dutchman uses "365 Days" against "New", and Distil Union uses "Day 1" and "Year 2". The scale runs from one year to a thousand days.
Call the wear the point. Lost Dutchman's body says "no two pieces will patina the same" and its headline says "Gets Better With Age". Bellroy's body says its leathers "age gracefully".
Put a promise next to it. Bellroy backs the pair with a three-year warranty line, and Lost Dutchman says "Guaranteed to last a lifetime" in its body copy.
Run it twice. Bellroy's Day 1 and Day 1000 picture had run 776 days when we checked, and a second take, "Wallets that last. And last. And last.", had run 366.
Made in USA wording
The rule. The FTC treats an unqualified "Made in USA" claim as a promise that a product is all or virtually all made in the United States, and its Made in USA Labeling Rule covers claims on labels.
Short and printed. Trayvax says "made in the USA" in its body and prints "MADE IN USA" on the card.
With the reasoning. Lost Dutchman Leather Goods writes "Proudly made in the USA" and "Sourced & tanned in the USA" in its body. Those are the brand's own claims, and we have not verified them.
Another country. Aviator Wallet's half-price ad says "100% Made in Germany", so the origin line works as a quality claim without the US rule.

Wallet ad questions, from leather wear to slim fit
How do you show in a photo that a wallet will last?
Put a new wallet next to a worn one with plain time labels. Bellroy, Lost Dutchman and Distil Union do exactly this, labeled "DAY 1000", "365 Days" and "Year 2", and Bellroy ran the idea twice.
What makes a slim wallet ad stand out from the others?
Name the thing the wallet replaces and print one hard spec on the picture. SlimFold opens with "Tired of bulky wallets?" and Serman prints "Fits up to 11 cards" and "RFID Blocking" in a feature list.
Should a wallet ad carry a customer review?
Yes, when the review answers a doubt the brand cannot answer itself. Trayvax prints a quote about three years of use, and SlimFold prints one about engineering, each beside five stars.
Can a wallet ad say it is made in the USA?
Only if the wallet meets the FTC's standard, which is that the product is all or virtually all made in the United States. Trayvax and Lost Dutchman Leather Goods make the claim, and Lost Dutchman adds where its leather was sourced and tanned.
How do wallet brands add a sale to a proof picture?
They keep the proof and add one line for the offer. Distil Union puts a "Use Code: INSIDER" circle on its Day 1 and Year 2 pair, and Lost Dutchman puts 20% off with a code in its body copy.
Make wallet ads like these
Each wallet ad here settles one doubt inside the picture, such as wear, thinness or origin, so paste your client's website or your own to get ads that do the same.
How we pick ads. We search Meta's public Ad Library for ads from DTC brands that sell to US and UK shoppers, keep ads running 14 days or more, skip catalogue ads, and show at most 3 per brand. Days running is a spend signal: brands rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't sell. Day counts are as of the check date above. Breakdowns are written by Gimme Gimme's ad analysis engine from each ad's image and copy, and edited by Josh Jackson, founder. Not affiliated with the brands shown; ads appear for commentary and analysis. To have an ad removed, email hello@getgimmegimme.com and we'll take it down within 7 days.
